Climate

The summer lasts since May on the beginning of September. The average day temperature of air in it makes the period +30-35 °С, night - +18-22 °С. The winter proceeds from December till February. Average day temperature - +19-21 °С, night - +8-14 °С. During the period from March till May in a city sandy storms because of the cold winds blowing from Sahara are possible, however they last usually no more weeks.

Transport

The international airport of Cairo - the main air gate of Egypt and the second-large airport of Africa - accepts to 16 million passengers a year, including Moscow. Also the Egyptian capital is connected with other cities of the country a network of freeways and iron roads. The main station of Cairo - Mahattat Ramzes is located on the area of Midan Ramzes. The municipal transportation including buses, trams and unique underground in Egypt is developed. From one coast of Nile on another it is possible to be forwarded on the ferry.
