Somerset West is a town in Republic of South Africa, situated in the Western Cape province. The official date of foundation is 1672, when the Ditch decided to use these lands for wheat growing. Somerset West was named in honor of Lord Charles Henry Somerset. Every year Somerset West holds Strawberry festival.
