Description:
Kota Kinabalu is the capital of Sabah state and east gate of Malaysia. The old town was destroyed during the World War II, that`s why the Kota Kinabalu`s appearance is completely modern. But nevertheless, it is quite viewy: a unique building in futuristic style in the form of a glass with 72 sides (Sabah Foundation Building), Sabah State Mosque, the Chinese temple Puh Toh Tze, the Tanjung Aru beach that is surrounded with palm trees and beef-woods, State Museum and, of course, the well-known Kinabalu National park. Besides, fans of wildlife see the true value of Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park with unique beaches and the fine underwater world.

Continental climate and, as consequence, a heat and high humidity. The hottest months are from May to September.Transport
Kota Kinabalu International Airport is located about 8 km of the city centre. A railway system is provided by Sabah State Railway. Regular bus services operate around the city and minibuses are also used as an alternative public transportation.
