Description:

Malacca is a city of colonizers. Based in XV century the capital city of the Malaysian state of Malacca changed hands. First it was Portugues, then Dutch and, at last, British. Each sovereignty epoch has left marks in Malacca properly that was reflected not only in ethnic composition of the population, but also in a face of a city. Upon tourist`s eyes burst the surprising mix of the European and Asian cultures: remains of the Portuguese fortress and St. Paul Church, the Dutch square area with a town hall and Christ Church, Chinatown, the Portuguese village, Taoist temples and Muslim mosques - all it coexists strange harmonious in the single area, giving the city a special charm.
