JAISALMER

Description:

Indian city Jaisalmer is situated in the very heart of the Great Indian desert. Beyond the city there is a National Reserve “Desert”. Although Jaisalmer is surrounded by sands it also has a few basins, for example Gadsisar Sagar Tank Lake. In spite of the fact that Jaisalmer has plenty of attractions and interesting sites, not many tourists come here because of not very convenient location of the city. The main landmark is Havelis, former houses of Jaisalmer merchants.

Climate is typical for desert area, it is hot during the day time and very cold at night.

Transport

Jaisalmer has its own airport, also you can reach the city from Deli by train (19 hours).
