Mussoorie is a popular Indian resort at the foot of Himalayas mountains on the height of about 1800 m above the sea level. The population is about 26 thousand people. Mussoorie was found in 1826, the first structure was the lodge of British army officer. As in other Indian towns the main street here is named Mall, it begins near the picture gallery and leads to the public library. Thanks to Mussoorie location the landscapes here are really picturesque. Among the nature attractions are the Camel hump hill that remind sitting camel, Gun mountain (2122 m), Mussoorie Lake and Kempti Waterfall. Architectural landmarks are Bhadradge temple, Yamuna bridge and Surkanda Devi temple. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the bird garden with rare bird species.
