KUTA
Description:
Kuta is the most famous resort area on the south of Bali island, Indonesia. Kuta used to be a fishing village and became the first village to experience significant inflow of tourists and resort industry developing. Today Kuta is famous for its boundless beaches with pure snow-white sand. The main tourists are Australians, mainly young. Kuta is lack in objects of cultural heritage (museums, architecture) but it is more than compensated by shopping, surfing and fun night life. In the morning on Kuta beaches you can see local residents presenting gifts to their gods on the sea shore. Kuta knows sad periods in its history. In 2002 and 2005 there was explosions and many people died. In memory of these victims there is a special monument.
Climate
Climate is tropical monsoon. Rain season lasts from October to June and brings serious precipitations. Dry season is from July to September.Transport
The nearest airport is Ngurah Rai International Airport. Port Benoa Harbor offers cruises to the nearby islands. You can get around Bali by taxi, bus or bemo – local micro bus.
