Manila is the capital of Philippines, the second-large city of the country and one of the most densely occupied megacities of the world. The Chinese diaspora in Manila is the most numerous, and the area Binondo occupied to it is one of the world%27s largest Chinese quarters that attaches special significance to the Chinese language. The special attention of tourists involves historical quarter of Manila - Intramuros. About 70th of XVI century till the end of XIX century representatives of colonial administration and the local nobility, decorated Intramuros in tens palaces and churches here lodged. In this part of Manila there were western universities first in Asia among which Santo-Tomas is most known. And in spite of the fact that during the Second World War the capital of Philippines has been almost destroyed, in post-war years of sight of Intramurosa have been carefully restored and please an eye of local residents and tourists. In second half XX century Manila has expanded outside of a historical part of a city. Beauty of modern Philippine capital - numerous parks and museums. Many memorable places of Manila are devoted fighters for independence of Philippines among whom José Rizal is most known, a monument to which is established in Park Rizal. One of the most picturesque sights of Manila is the park stretched along coast of a gulf. Manila which was one of the most beautiful cities of Asia in XIX century, and is capable to satisfy today tastes of the most exacting traveler.

Nevertheless it is possible to allocate a short dry season which lasts from January till April. During this period the temperature fluctuates between +22 - +32 °C. In spite of the fact that in the rest of the time of year air temperature remains practically in the same limits, considerable strengthening of humidity promotes that the temperature seems much above.

The international airport is located by Nina Akuino to the south from the city center.
