Description:

Manama is a capital of Bahrain and a major economic center of the country. Western culture bears a great influence at Manama – there are many skyscrapers, nightclubs, cinemas and Irish pubs. Almost all media is produced not only in Arabic but also in English. Manama just started to become a popular tourist destination, there are as a rule not many tourists. Usually people come here who like exotic, or are interested in history of Islam - the main attraction of the city is the Friday Mosque, built in the first half of the 20th century. There is the University of Bahrain in the city, as well as two museums - The House of the Qur%27an and the National Museum. The monetary unit of Manama is a Bahrain Dinar.

Climate

In Manama, there is the transition from subtropical to tropical climate. The average temperature in winter is16 Celsius degrees, in summer – 37 Celsius degrees. The rainy season lasts from December to February; sometimes there are dust storms.

Transport

The Bahrain International Airport City is connected by highway that passes through the dam.
