ELAT
Description:
Eilat is the city which is located in a southern part of Israel on the bank of Red sea and considered as a part of desert Negev. In it lives about 55 thousand persons. Once it was large military base (during an epoch of the Roman sovereignty), and also as port for trade with the Arabian peninsula and Horn of Africa (Somalia) subsequently was used. Today, being important seaport of the country, the city is considered also a prospering tourist place, thanks to fine indicators of Red sea and extremely comfortable climate. North Beach it is covered by hotels and hotels of the higher class, and the quay Taelet has sheltered set of street musicians, wonderful small restaurants and various shops, here is always crowded and life boils. Magnificent sea landscapes, coral reeves and surprising dishes of a local cuisine will not leave you indifferent.
Climate
The climate of Eilat is considered the driest in territory of Israel. In the summer the temperature of air can reach 45 degrees, but this heat is easily transferred, thanks to dryness of air and winds which blow almost constantly. Winter here warm and soft (the average temperature is equal to 20 degrees of heat) with a small amount of precipitation.Transport
To reach Eilat, it is possible to use services of the Airport Eilat which is located directly in a city, and International Airport Ovda, but to fly to Airport Taba in Egypt is more cheaply.
