CESKY KRUMLOV

Description:

Ceský Krumlov is a small town with the population of about 15 thousand people. It became the second most popular tourist destination in Czech Republic after it was included in the UNESCO World heritage list in 1992. Every year Ceský Krumlov attracts thousands of tourists that come to admire one of the most beautiful Bohemia cities. In the historic center you can see buildings of different styles from Gothic to baroque. Ceský Krumlov is home to second largest castle in the country (after Prague Castle). One more tourist zest is the oldest baroque theatre in the country, auditorium revolves inside the circle scene.

Climate

Climate is temperate continental with mild winter and warm summer. Average day temperature of the hottest months July and August is 20C, of the coldest January – 2C. Most precipitation occurs im summer, winter is dry.

Transport

Ceský Krumlov is connected with Prague by regular bus (3 hours) and train (3 hours 50 min) communications. Also you can go to the nearest transportation hub České Budějovice by bus (50 min) or train (1 hour). International Airport is planned to be built in 2011 here. Also buses from Ceský Krumlov run to Rožmberk nad Vltavou, micro buses to Linz, Vienna, Salzburg and Hallstatt.
