Description:
Prague counts 5 historic districts that are all included in the UNESCO World Heritage list as architectural and historic ensemble. Till 1784 these districts existed as independent towns, today they form a single architectural ensemble, one of the most beautiful in Europe, with every building being a masterpiece. Thanks to this and other landmarks (Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, Golden street and Prague Zoo), numerous theatres, museums, art galleries and cultural events of world significance, Prague from the tourist point of view can be put in the same line with Paris, London and Rome.
Climate
Climate is continental. Winter is quite mild and dry with average temperature of about 0C. Summer is not very hot, average July and August temperature is 18C or more (but not higher than 25C). Most precipitation occurs from July to August. Autumn in Prague is warm and dry.Transport
Prague is the railroad center of Czech Republic. From the main railway stations (Hlavní nádraží and Praha-Holešovice) trains run to all parts of the country. 10 km from the capital there is international airport Ruzyně. It consists of 4 terminals and for today it the busiest airport in Central and Eastern Europe. You can reach airport by several micro buses: Airport Express run from the Central station, bus #119 runs from Dejvická metro station (line A), bus #100 run from Zličín metro station (line B), bus #179 run from Nové Butovice metro station (line B). Also you can use metro.
