CORK
Description:
Cork, which name is literally translated as "bog", is a second city of Ireland on size (after Dublin), located on a southern extremity of island. At it long and nice history: say that it has been put in VI century and has undergone set of reconstruction and the ruins made by Vikings. The last centuries have left here the architectural traces: admire Sacred Maria%27s Cathedral and the well-known Cathedral of the Sacred Financial bar with its mysterious overgilded angel with whom local legends are connected; walk along the street Sacred Patrick on which interesting buildings are located many. But the most well-known structure of Cork is the belltower of Shendon in which bell any interested person (for a certain payment, certainly can call). Having looked at these architectural miracles, have a rest in park Fitzgerald in the western part of a city or on University fields of Cork which really should be visited. In spite of the fact that the city is not too densely occupied (in it lives about 120 thousand persons), it is full of cultural life. Here passes set of surprising actions among which it is possible to mention Festival of Cinema and Festival of the Jazz which cause a great interest not only in city visitors, but also at local residents. Do not forget to visit Lewis Gljuksmana%27s recently opened gallery and to drink the present Irish beer which is made directly in Cork.
Climate
It is possible to name a climate typically Irish: moderate damp with warm winters and in the cool summer. The average temperature of January - +8°C, in July, as a rule, air heats up to +19°C.Transport
Kent railway station connects a city with Dublin and Kerry, but travel by train can cost dearer, than a trip to Cork on any other type of transport.
