AUGSBURG
Description:
Augsburg is a town in south-western part of Bavaria. Is one of the oldest in Germany, is a capital of Swabia. The city is adjacent to the Western Forest (National Park). In 1997, is honored as the greenest city in Europe. Inside the city there are a few urban forests. There are about 33 canals with a total length of 90 km, 19 streams stretching 45 km, as well as a man-made lake in the city. The city is rich in historical monuments, medieval monasteries and churches. In the city many medieval gates have remained. An interesting object is a Wasserwerk am Hochablass - a hydraulic engineering monument on the River Lech.

Weather is not stable. Spring comes earlier and is dry. Winters are moderate, summers are not hot. In the autumn there are fogs. In winter there is a lot of snow.Transport
The city is located in the center of the intersection of roads and railways. 1.5 km north away from the city is the airport. In addition, airport Munich-2 can be reached by car in less than an hour. The town has a well-developed public transport system.
