BAD REICHENHALL

Description:

Bad Reichenhall is a small town in Berchtesgaden in the south-east of Munich. The city is known as "City of Fountains" (a total of 55 fountains in the city) and a place where you can improve your health. People come here to cure asthma, bronchitis and other diseases. Known sources of mineral water, salts and mud are located here. The city has many sights: a park, an old saltern with a salt museum, a spa center, old town with the remains of the historic city walls, a pedestrian zone. It is worth visiting a cable-suspended road, the oldest in Germany (1928), rising to the height of 1613 meters.

Climate

The average temperature of the alpine mountain air reaches in summer 18 Celsius degrees. Winters are warm. Precipitations are scarce.

Transport

From the airport in Salzburg you can reach the city in 10 minutes, the easiest way is by taxi. In addition, the city has a railway station. The distance from Munich airport is 150 km.
