BAD TOLZ

Description:

Bad Tölz is a German resort town in the Bavaria land 55 km from Munich. Bad Tölz is situated on the both banks of Isar River. Along the right bank stretches the Old Town, on the left bank recreation centers with termal springs are concentrated, the brought fame to the town all over the world. Bad Tölz is home to one of the biggest aqua parks in Europe - ALPAMARE. In the Old Town you can enjoy the view of the ensemble of the street Marktstraße with its houses in baroque style, its facades are hand-coloured (Lüftlmalerei). Among the architectural monuments the most interesting is the Town Hall, Tower Khanturm, school building Mädchenschulhaus, monument “Goldene Ritter” and the church Stadtpfarrkirche Mariä Himmelfahrt.

Climate is a mixture of warm Atlantic and dry continental types.

You can reach Bad Tölz via the interstates B 472 (Deutsche Alpenstraße) and B 13, or by railroad line Bayerische Oberlandbahn (BOB) München-Lenggries.
