BAD ZWISCHENAHN
Description:
Bad Zwischenahn is the largest German commune in the Lower Saxony land. It was found that the first settlements appeared there in IX century but the official date of the foundation is 1124 as exactly in that time the first commune church was built. Scientists consider that the city received its name from the location (in translation it means “between rivers”). Today Bad Zwischenahn is positions itself as a modern city with pedestrian zones, parks, shopping malls and food stores. Historic center is formed by the Market Square with the church St.-Johannes-Kirche, the streets Georgstraße, Bahnhofstraße and Peterstraße with the hotel, museum and a hospital (Kurklinik).
