BADENWEILER

Description:

Badenweiler is a German commune in the Baden-Württemberg land, it is famous for its termal springs. Not far from Badenweiler there is on of the biggest termal springs in Germany with the temperature 0f 27C. This area attracted tourists even in Roman Empire times when the medical properties of these springs were discovered. Termal complex Cassiopeia-Therme consists of several bathings: hot springs till 36C and cold springs to 12C. Except springs there are saunas and roman-ireland baths. Be sure to visit the local resort park where you will be able to see various tropical plants and medical plants. Among the architectural structures outstand the ruins of the castle (Ruine der Burg Baden), the palace Das Großherzogliche Palais (XVI century) and the museum Tschechow-Salon devoted to the great Russian writer Anton Chekhov.

Climate is very comfortable. Badenweiler is protected from winds by the Black Forest.
