BOPPARD

Description:

Boppard is a German town in the Rhineland-Palatinate land, registered in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Except the German language dwellers speak the dialect Bubberder Platt. Boppard is famous for its nature ambient and architecture. On the Rhine banks stand two castles (Burg Liebenstein and Burg Sterrenberg). Near the Market Square there is Roman park (Römerpark) where you can see the ruins of ancient fortifications (Römische Kastellmauer). On the Market Square itself stands in beauty the church St.-Severus-Kirche build in XIII century. Also deserve attention the church Karmeliterkirche, monastery Kloster Marienberg, former synagogue Ehemalige Synagoge, castle Schloss Schöneck, the area where aristocrats lived (Adelshöfe).

The main railway station is Hauptbahnhof Boppard, in addition there are 5 more stations: Boppard Süd, Boppard-Buchholz, Boppard-Hirzenach, Boppard-Bad Salzig and Boppard-Fleckertshöhe. You can rech Boppard by car via the interstate Bundesstraße 9.
