Description:
Braunlage is a resort town in Lower Saxony (near Goslar) with the population of more than 5,000 people. The area of the city is 21.70 km ². The main attractions of the city are the Harz National Park and the Mount Brocken. There is a small town center of ski touring, numerous competitions are held regularly among the fans. The total length of the snowy slopes is more than 13 kilometers (8 miles). There is over 410 meters of vertical slope. Braunlage received the status of the resort city in 1934. The city is divided into three areas: Braunlage, Keningskrug, Hohogeis.
