BUSUM

Description:

Büsum is a German commune and resort town in the Schleswig-Holstein land on the North Sea shore (bay Meldorfer Bucht). The fact is that Büsum is a former island that later united with the continent. The highest building in the town is Hochhaus Büsum, it is eve higher than the light house Leuchtturm Büsum. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the famous Museum am Meer where you will learn about the benefits that sea gives to people. Büsum is also known for its local celebrations: in August Crab and Fish trade festival is held, in September – the Day of Cabbage.

Transport

You can reach Büsum by car via the highways Bundesautobahn 23 or Bundesstraße 203, or by train following the Büsum–Heide (Holstein)–Neumünster line. Not far from the commune there is a small airport Flugplatz Heide-Büsum.
