Description:

Friedrichshafen is a German city in the Baden-Württemberg land on the Lake Constance shore. This is the second largest city on the Lake after Constance. Friedrichshafen is a young city, it was founded in 1811 and in 2011 it celebrated its only second centenary. While staying in Friedrichshafen visit some museums, for example the Museum of Air and Space Machinery (Dornier-Museum), Museum of Fire Service (Feuerwehrmuseum ), School museum (Schulmuseum Friedrichshafen ) and the Airships Museum (Zeppelin-Museum) where you can get the excursion on a real airship above the city. Among architectural monuments the most interesting are the church Schlosskirche (city symbol), railway station building (Stadtbahnhof), tower hall (Rathaus Friedrichshafen) and the observation tower (Aussichtsturm).

Climate is temperate. Because of the Alps proximity thunderstorms are common. During the winter fog is frequent.

Transport

Ferries Fridolin and Constanze connect Friedrichshafen with the nearby Constance, also there are some ferries to Switzerland. The city has its own airport (Flughafen Friedrichshafen) that provides domestic flights. There are 2 railway stations: Friedrichshafen Hafen and Friedrichshafen Stadt. 15 bus routes cover the city.
