Kiel is the capital of Schleswig-Holstein. It is on the shore of the Kiel gulf of the Baltic sea. Kiel is connected with the North Sea by a cannel. Kiel is a big seaport. The population is approximately 230 000 persons. The famous organizations of a city are the Kiel University based in 1665, and the National Economic Library. One of the largest city events is «the Kiel week», the major event for all who likes sailing.

Transport

The nearest international airport is the airport of Hamburg located at a distance of hundred kilometers from a city. It has its own airport, but it does not service regular flights. It’s easier to reach Kiel from Oslo.
