Description:
Magdeburg is a German city and the capital of Saxony-Anhalt land. It is situated on the Elbe Rivere. Magdeburg has very rich history. From 805 it was developed as a trade point. The city experienced several deceases: in 1013 it was plundered by Poland King Boleslaw I Chrobry, in 1505 the army of Maurice de Saxe entered the city and during the Thirty year’s War it was laid siege by Albrecht von Wallenstein but didn’t yielded. Among attractions are the MagdeburgCathedral, St Mary monastery, Magdeburg green citadel, Old market and Magdeburg horseman, also Town Hall, Tower of St Luke, Millennium Tower in the Elbe bottomland, City park Rotehorn, Square Hasselbachplatz and the Star bridge (Sternbrücke).
