Description:
Quedlinburg is considered to be one of the oldest German towns. It is situated in the Saxony-Anhalt land on the Bode River. From 1995 the historic center (about 1600 medieval architecture monuments) of the city is under UNESCO protection as the World Heritage Site. Don’t go out of the city without seeing the ensemble of half-timber houses (Finkenherd), Roland Statue (2, 75 m in high, symbol of marketing freedom), Grunhagen House on the Breite Strasse (baroque style, built in 1701), monastery buildings on the Schlossberg mountain, Münzenberg hill with stunning views over the city, church Wipertikirche and tower Wachtürme.

Quedlinburg lies on the intersection of Bundesstraßen 79 and 6 highways. The town has its own railway station Bahnhof Quedlinburg. The nearest airports are Flughafen Magdeburg-Cochstedt (22 km), Flughafen Leipzig/Halle (90 km) and Flughafen Hannover (120 km).
