Description:

Rüdesheim am Rhein is a wine-producing German town with the population of about 10 thousand people. It is situated in the Hessen land. Rüdesheim is in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Everyone is recommended to visit Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett museum (the first museum of mechanical musical instruments in Germany), Mittelalterliches Foltermuseum (Museum of medieval torture equipment), Rheingauer Weinmuseum Brömserburg Wine Museum and Spielzeug- und Eisenbahnmuseum museum where you can see the model of German railroad and other toys of the previous century. You will definitely enjoy such monuments as Xv century church (Pfarrkirche St. Jakob), fortress ruins (Ruine der Burg Ehrenfels), Brömserburg castle, Binger Mäuseturm Tower and railway station building.

Transport

Rüdesheim am Rhein can be reached through the Bundesstraße 42 autobahn or by ferry from the Rhine River. The town has the stop on the railroad lines Regionalbahn and Regionalexpress.
