SCHONAU AM KONIGSSEE

Description:

Schönau am Königssee is German commune in Bavaria. It extends along the Königssee Lake (deep can reach 190 m). Commune is very small, it has population of only about 6 thousand people. Schönau is a quite popular resort, it has various hotels and B&Bs. Before people there floated the timber, today the ground for float is used by amusement park and flea market. Also there is an old St Bartholomew Church nearby the settlement.
