SCHWANGAU

Description:

Schwangau is a German commune in the Bavaria land. The main economic sectors are handicrafts, trade and agriculture. Local landscapes are picturesque, in the Schwangau area there are stunning lakes Alpsee and Schwansee. The main attractions are Schloss Neuschwanstein castle (built for Bavarian king Ludwig II), Schloss Hohenschwangau castle, Schloss Bullachberg castle, Marienbrücke Bridge (it is named after Queen Mary), the church Pfarrkirche St. Maria und Florian (Roman Catholic church on the lake Forggensee shore).
