The beautiful wide streets, such as alley Unter den Linden, have appeared there as well as many architectural ensembles in the Baroque style. After the Second World War, many monuments were restored and regained its original appearance, and even new areas appeared in the eastern part of the city - Lichtenberg and Marzahn. The most famous old buildings in Berlin are the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, the Church of St. Mary and the Berlin Cathedral.
