Description:

Luxembourg is the capital of the Great Gertsogstva Ljuksemburg which area makes 2 586,4 km ². The population of Luxembourg, about 86 thousand persons, makes more than 1/6 population of all country. State languages are German, French and Luxembourg languages. The city costs on merges of the rivers Alzet and Petrus. The river Alzet has a considerable quantity of inflows and divides Luxembourg on two parts – the Top and Bottom city. Parts are informed among themselves on means of bridges of Adolf and Great Duchess Sharloty. In the bottom city offices of the large companies and banks and administrative agencies are located. The top city is an ancient Luxembourg fortress abounding with architecture monuments which concern the well-known Cathedral of the Luxembourg Mother of god Which is the fine sample of late Gothic architecture with elements of architecture of the Renaissance.
