Description:
Agios Ioannis is a small village in the Magnesia area in mainland Greece. It is situated at the foot of beautiful Pelion Mountain. Agios Ioannis attracts tourists by its tranquility there are only a couple of hotels, a school, a post office on the main square, and in addition traditional tavernas and nature of outstanding beauty. Pelion mountain and its surroundings are really picturesque, according to Grecian mythology once it was inhabited by centaurs. After this creature one of the best Agios Ioannis tavernas is named. By all means try gyros, kontosouvli and souvaki.

Climate is temperate Mediterranean, very comfortable. Winter is mild and humid, during the coldest time temperature doesn’t fall under 5C. Summer is hot and dry/ during the hottest month – July and August – temperature can reach 35C.Transport
The nearest big city is Volos (55 km), it can be reached by train or bus from many cities of Greece. There is a bus runs from Volos to Agios Ioannis. From Volos port ferries go to some islands. Athens are about 320 km, Thessalonike - 215 km.
