BORMIO

Description:

Bormio is a town in Sondrio province in Lombardia situated in the national park Stelvio. Bormio twice held international skiing championships, it is famous for its slopes and Ancient Roman thermaes (Terme di Bormio, Bagni Nuovi and Bagni Vecchi). Local cuisine is notable for really outstanding cheese and wine. Mountain location even in summer allows skiing in glacier Passo dello Stelvio. Bormio holds interesting celebrations: Gabinát, Geneiron, L%27Ors de la tana, and Carneval di Mat.
