BRESCIA
Description:
Brescia is a town on the north of Italy, in Lombardi region. This town is called “Lioness of Italy” because of its contribution to Italian Risorgimento (the formation of the united state). Brescia extends on the Po valley at the foot of Alps. Town center is surrounded by stone walls, form the Chidneo hill castle keeps vigilant watch over Brescia. In the historic center you can see churches of all epochs, from Lombards to XIX century. St July monastery with St Salvatore church stands out, it’s a typical example of northern Italy Lombard architecture. This monastery was included in UNESCO World Heritage list in 2011. Visit one of the numerous Brescia museums, admire the beauty of La Lodga Palace square, Old and New Cathedrals, castle and other landmarks of this northern Italy town.

Climate is semi continental. Summer is hot and humid, winter is cold and rainy. Thunderstorms are frequent but snow and frost are rare.Transport
Brescia-Montichiari airport is 15 km away from city center, it provides limited number of flights. Verona VillaFranca, Milan Linate, and Milan Malpensa airports are also quite close. Brescia has its own railway station opened in 1854. Brescia is a stop on the Milan-Venice line.
