LUCCA
Description:
Lucca is a city in Tuscany, one of the biggest centers of Italian art. This city is sometimes called "the city of thousand churches" for it has numerous churches, bell towers and campaniles. Lucca, founded by the Etruscans, has preserved some ancient architecture, though there are many Gothic buildings. The main pride of Lucca is the big old city walls that surround the city from all the sides. They have never been used for defense, that%27s why they are in such a good condition; the walls have been even used as a road some time ago due to their big dimensions. Indeed there are lots of beautiful palaces in Lucca, one theater, and here Giacomo Puccini, a famous Italian composer, was born.

Lucca has a Mediterranean climate with hot summer and mild rainy winter. Snow and frost are rare here.Transport
The airport of Pisa is the closest one to Lucca and it takes about 20 minutes by bus or train to get to the center. ALso one can arrive in the city by train from Pisa or Florence.
