Description:

Perugia is the capital of the Umbria region, a center of arts, where the biggest university for foreigners in Italy is situated. The look of the city has been influenced by different epochs in Perugia%27s history, in particular by Etruscan one. On the central square there is la Fontana Maggiore - the most famous sight of Perugia, a fountain that consists of two marble bowls. Everywhere around Perugia you can see different Etruscan monuments and also the rests of Etruscan and Medieval walls. There are many wonderful palaces, churches and theaters in Perugia.

Climate

The climate of Perugia is Mediterranean with hot dry summers and rainy mild winters. The coldest month is january with temperatures higher than 4 degrees.

Transport

The airport Sant%27Edigio is located near the city (12 km). You can get to Perugia by train (the Sant%27Anna station is the principal one of Perugia). The network of public transport is well developed in Perugia. Also the line of Minimetro functions in the center with the lengths of 4 km.
