Description:

Peschiera del Garda is a town in the Verona province in the Veneto region. It is situated in the place where Mincio river flows from Garda Lake to rush through the valleys to Mantuia direction. Peschiera del Garda is one of the most important towns on the lake because of its transportation significance, there is a railway station, highway and many cruise liners departing exactly from Peschiera port. Walk along Mazzini embankment and channel, look at the beach, there are a lot of sun, verdure and water. In the city center there is a Venice castle of XVI century. During the whole year, especially in summer, Peschiera del Garda holds various festivals.

Climate

Peschiera del Garda climate is Mediterranean because of Garda lake influence and special relief. Summer is hot (+24C) and winter is cold (+1C), humidity is heightened during the whole year(especially in winter) and this leads to frequent mists.

Transport

Peschiera del Garda is important stop on the railroad line Milan-Venice, it is a good starting point to get to all resort places in Garda. The nearest airport is in Verona, Milan, Venice and Bergamo airports are also quite close. You can catch a ferry to explore Garda lake region.
