PRAIANO

Description:

Praiano is a resort town in the Salerno province in the Campania region, it is the part of Amalfia sea coast. This place fascinates visitors by its colours, calmness ad panoramic views. Praiano is divided into two parts: lower Marina di Praiano includes seafront and beach with azure sea while other part is situated on the hill slope. Praiano sunsets and sunrises with saturated colours are unforgettable. Ancient churches, towers and houses built in special Mediterranean style are interesting and unusual. Be sure to visit Grotta di Suppraiano. In August town holds numerous celebrations.

Climate

Climate in Praiano is Mediterranean. Summer is hot and dry, winter is mild and rainy. In summer air is chilled by sea breeze from the bay.

Transport

The nearest airports are Capodichino in Naples and Fiumicino close to Rome. To reach Praiano by train you have to come to Salerno first and then catch a bus. Also there are direct buses from Naples to Praiano. Ferries run between seafront towns including Praiano.
