Description:

San Vito Lo Capo is a resort place in the Trapani province in Sicily and one of the most popular places for holidays in Italy. San Vito Lo Capo is famous for its beach that was named the best in Italy and the 8th in Europe in 2011. From the west resort is washed by Macari bay, there is also a natural reserve Riserva naturale dello Zingaro that amazes by its beauty. From 1998 original festival Cuscus Fest is held in San Vito Lo Capo, representatives of 8 countries of Mediterranean basin cook cuscus and jury chooses the winner. In July Summer Music Festival is held and in March - Festival degli aquiloni (kite competitions).

Climate

San Vito Lo Capo is situated in the Mediterranean climate zone. Summer is dry and hot but air is cooled by African sirocco. Winter is mild and rainy. In general temperatures are temperate and climate is favorable for rest and living.

Transport

Trapani, the capital of the province, has a small airport (15 km from San Vito Lo Capo, you can catch a bus). Resort itself is small, you can explore it on foot.
