Taormina lies in a zone of Mediterranean climate with hot dry simmers. However the air is cooled by an African wind called sirocco. Winters in Taormina are mild and rainy. In general the temperatures are moderate and that makes the climate very comfortable for living and relaxing.

The closest airport is situated in Catania where you can get only by car. From Messina and Catania trains go to Taormina, the main station Taormina-Giardini is located in 2 km from the city center, so it%27s necessary to catch a bus that goes right to Taormina from the station.
