IESOLO

Description:

Jesolo is a resort in the North-East of Italy that is situated in the Venetian lagoon. In ancient times there was a village, though today Jesolo interests primarily for being a resort. Here one can find incredible number of different hotels, and in general tourist infrastructure is well developed. In Jesolo skyscrapers are being built by some famous architects. In the summer in Jesolo many festivals are held: the international festival of sand sculpture, Jesolo air show (in august) etc.

Climate

The climate of Jesolo differs from the tipical Italian one: it is transitive from continental to mediterranean so it is milder and more humid. It snows a lot in winter though the snow melts soon. Summer is the best time to visit this resort.

Transport

The closest airports are Venice%27s Marco Polo and Treviso%27s Canova. The closest railway station is San Doma di Piave that is situated in 15 km from Jesolo. One can also arrive in Jesolo by bus of ferry from Venice.
