Description:

Positano is a resort on the Amalfi coast of Campania, close to Sorrento. This place is full of bright colors: green Monti Lattari, white and rose Mediterranean houses, silver-grey sand and blue sea. Positano is situated on the slope of the hill, that%27s why it is so picturesque. Clime up the mountain and you will find a secret Nocelle village - from there you will see a "Divine panorama"; walk along Sentiero degli Innamorati between the two beaches, Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo; try lemoncello -famous liqueur, that is mainly produced in Campania. In Positano some ancient towers built to protect against the Saracens are preserved as well as beautiful churches; while not far from the coast the three islands of Li Galli rise. According to a legend, they are populated by the sirens.

Positano is a part of the Amalfi coast, so you can get to all beautiful places of the region from here: Ravello, Paestrum, Naples, the islands of Capri and Ischia, Sorrento as well as famous Pompei and Haerculanum. The closest airport is located in Naples, from where you can ger to Positano by bus and ferry. Also Positano is reachable by ferry from Sorrento and Salerno.
