BERGEN
Description:
The Norway tourist center, gateway city to the world famous fjords, European Capital of Culture... – all that epithets are given this second largest city in Norway. And not without a reason. Bergen%27s old quayside, Bryggen is on UNESCO%27s list of World Heritage Site, in home of the famous composer Edvard Grieg private concerts are organized, and in the fish market it is possible to get hold of fresh sea gifts. And, certainly, there is more to it than that: the Bergen Museum, royal castle, a funicular where you could enjoy the fine panorama of the city from height of 320 m. above sea level, arts museums and improbable beauty of fjords - all it attracts tourists all over the world and gives to a city special charm.
Climate
In the summer Bergen hardly could boast of hot time: on the average the temperature doesn%27t rise above 20 degrees, however it is hard to call winters cold - the average temperature keeps above zeroTransport
Between Bergen and Hirtshals (Denmark) goes the ferry Fjord Line. From Oslo it is possible to reach by train or by bus. Also in the city airport, Bergen Airport, Flesland is located with direct flights to several European and some Japanese cities.
