Ibiza is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, one of the Balearic Islands, it is also known as White Island (La Isla Blanca). Ibiza, despite the fact that it is the third largest island of the Balearics, is rather small, there are just over 100,000 residents who permanently live on Ibiza. However during the summer period fit’s crowded by holidaymakers and clubbers. In fact, life on Ibiza is concentrated around two big cities - Ibiza-Town and San Antonio. Climate
Due to Mediterranean climate, Ibiza weather is warm in winter (the minimal temperature is about +14 C), hot and dry during the summer period; from June to September day temperature average 25-30 C.Transport
Transport: In spite of small size, public transport net is represented by buses, ferries, taxies and car-rant service. Buses run through all the island, from 07.30 am till midnight (June – September) and from 07.30 to 21.30 (winter period). During the summer months, large Disco Clubs organize their own bus transportation well-known as Discobus from all the major stations to their dance floors. Bus timetable is available at the bus-stops and tourist city offices. From May till the end of September, opens ferry transportation from Ibiza Town to nearby beaches and to Formentera, Barcelona, Valencia. In summer time buses run from the centre of Ibiza town to the airport every 30 minutes from 07:20 am to 23:50 pm.
