Description:

Puerto del Carmen is one of the main tourist town on the Lanzarote island, the part of Canary Islands. On the area of 7 kilometers of the length there are big hotels and 3 main beaches of the resort. In 1966 with the building of the first hotel of Puerto del Carmen - Hotel los Fariones – this place has converted into an attractive resort among visitors all over the Europe, Spain and America. On the main street - Avenida de Las Playas – there are shopping centers, restaurants, banks and other tourist attractions. The resort Puerto del Carmen contains of 2 parts – one of them is historical area, La Tiñosa, which has become an independent town Puerto Tiñosa, and the other – tourist part. Next to the town Puerto Tiñosa one can find beautiful volcanic mountains, which give the view to small islands. All city beaches have Blue Flag, that’s mean are ecological and safe. Puerto del Carmen is host to a large number of diving schools.

Climate

All the Island of Lanzarote has pleasant climate with warm winters and not extremely hot summers, thanks to this visitors can enjoy sunny weather all year round.

Transport: The nearest airport to Puerto del Carmen is the Arrecife Airport, which has 2 terminals – one for international flights, another for domestic.
