ALVOR

Description:

Alvor is a small fishing village and popular resort situated 5 km from Portimão. Alvor is surrounded by the nature reserve Ria de Alvor where you can watch for rare birds and fish. Town center is filled with narrow streets, white houses and famous Portugal restaurants where you can try traditional cuisine and Portugal wine. Not far from the town center there are sandy beaches protected from winds by cliffs.

Climate

Summer is hot and sunny, in winter temperature usually doesn’t fall under 10C. Intolerable heat is impossible here because of fresh Atlantic winds.

Transport

You can reach Alvor via the coastal highway A22.
