Description:
Evora is a town situated in the eastern part of Portugal, 120 km from Lisboan. Official date of the foundation is 1166. Evora is a museum-town, it is registered in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Among architectural and historic landmarks are Roman Diana temple, Palace of the King Manuel, cathedral Sé Catedral de Évora (one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Portugal, Gothic style), St Clare monastery, aqueduct, Vasco da Gama Palace, Bastu palace, and even more palaces, churches and chapels. In Evora people cultivate vine, olives and cork oaks.
