PONTA DELGADA

Description:

Ponta Delgada is a capital of Azores in Portugal, it is situated on São Migue Island. Central district Sao Sebastião is adjoined by the same name church. Ponta Delgada is also divided into “lower district” (Fajã de Baixo) and “upper district” (Fajã de Cima). Fajã de Baixo is famous for pineapples growing and Fajã de Cima is for goat cheese and cow milk production. Every year the Day of Jesus Christ is celebrated on the city streets (Dia do Santo Cristo).
