NEUSTIFT IM STUBAITAL

Description:

Neustift is one of few mounting skiing resorts of Austria where skiing is possible all year long, because of the Stubai Glacier. But it compares favourably from other similar places with it`s non-society democratic character. There is about 150 km of lines, with the prevalence of slope with the average complexity. The longest line with the romantic name "Wild cave" (Wide Grube) has extent of 10 km. The symbol of the city is St. George%27s church, that ideally enters in a picturesque Alpine landscape. To restore forces after descents helps sports-entertainment complex with covered pool, saunas and a bar.

Climate

The ski season lasts from October till May, on the Stubai Glacier all year long.

Transport

The resort is in 27 km southwest from Innsbruck, from which each hour go buses. By the car along the autobahn А13 towards Brenner.
