Description:

Sölden is the main town and the most visited resort of the Ötztal valley. It is a pure paradise for outdoor activities but best known for its popular skiing arena. In winter, the downhill skiers, snowboarders, riders, freestylers are spoilt for choice with lengthy and well groomed slopes. With 2 glaciers nearby, Sölden is an all-year-round skiing area. In the summer, it is also like being in an adventure park with a choice of over 400 km of biking trails and kilometers of hiking trails leading to some of the highest peaks in the Alps. Sölden has also a very lively night life and entertainments but also many facilities to relax like the popular Aqua Dome. Experience Sölden%27s high quality of recreational offers.

Climate

Located in the Alpine area of Austria, Sölden has a cooler climate with harsher winters and snow on its glaciers all-year-round. As it is located in one of the Tirol valleys, the famous "Föhn", a warm wind that often blows and brings midler air.

Transport

The nearest airport is the international Innsbruck Airport located 85 km away. Transfer to and from the airport are served by the Otztal shuttle but Sölden can also be reached by train and bus.
