Description:

Vienna, the capital of Austria, the city of opera and waltz, is also the home of the greatest composers and the father of psychoanalysis Freud. Climate

The best time to go is during the summer season when the weather is mild with an of 20°C. The winter months can be very cold with the weather influenced by the Alps and with temperature at times below zero.

Transport

Vienna International Airport is located in the town of Schwechat, 18 km of the city centre. This is the biggest airport in Austria. The city has three train stations: South railway, West railway and Franz Joseph Railway. The main public transport in Vienna is the S-Bahn (high-speed electric trains) and Vienna U-Bahn (subway). The city also offers tram and bus lines (including private ones). There is also a system of water transportation with steamships navigating on the Danube. Vienna is connected to other austrian cities and Europe through a large network of railways and motorways.
